Here it is, posted a mere month after the fact - look, I have had the worst cold, bookended by fevers from both kids - Lucie turning 1!
She had lots of fun opening gifts, and got plenty of help from her big brother. Here she is with her new set of back-up grabby ponies. Because a hand-me-down brown floppy pony that Bren never quite took to is her favorite soothing bedtime toy. Not the fluffy grey & white doggie that we bought 3 of before she was even born. 
Did I mention Brennan was very helpful opening her presents?
And of course, birthday cupcakes. I managed to surprise even myself by baking them, instead of buying from one of the gazillion cupcake shops in SF and trying to pass off "green tea with lavender cream filling" as child-appropriate. 
Brennan also helped Lucie with her birthday candle, kindly requesting a candle for his own cupcake so he could show her how it's done.
We're pretty sure she liked the cupcake.
