Off to the Fair...and the pool...and Michigan!

Since I don't seem to be able to get these done in anything resembling a timely manner, I recruited the kids to provide the narrative.  Just to provide a little context, photos are from our July 4th visit to the Marin Country Fair, a day at the Coppola Pool, and their visit to Michigan to stay with grandparents.

Brennan:  "Lucie is staring at the camera.  I'm staring at the funnel cake.  We're at the Marin County Fair and it was the first time we had a funnel cake.  It was yummy with all the powdered sugar."

Lucie:  "I like the cows' giant chubby faces. The hay bale felt like a bunch of spikey leaves.  And there were goats.  That's all I can remember."

Lucie:  "Daddy got me this ice cream.  It was a hot day.  It was pretty good, but I like scoop ice cream more."

Brennan:  "We're on the rollercoaster.  It has a lot of twists and turns."
Lucie:  "Yeah I loved that ride.  It was so fun.  I heard somebody start screaming."

Lucie:  "I was spinning around and um, we had lots of fun.  We never got to do that before.  Daddy never came to the Marin County Fair before."
Brennan:  "We're sitting on the Yo-Yo.  When it starts spinning you'll start lifting up like a lop-sided swing and you'll be flying over people's heads."

Lucie:  "I'm eating a shave ice.  It's ice that has flavor in it.  Brennan got Coke."
Mommy: "Who made the better choice?"
Lucie:  "Lucie"
Brennan:  "Really?"

Lucie: "We were swimming at the Coppola pool.  I was making a funny face at the camera.  My favorite lunch there is pizza."

Brennan:  "We're in a party line going Cha-Cha-Cha.  Our friend in the picture is Beck, our neighbor.  We did holding your breath competitions."

Lucie:  "Me & Beck fell asleep.  It was a super hot day.  We were in Cupcake, Mommy's car."

Brennan:  "We're in Michigan at Conor's house and we're tubing on the lake.  I don't remember the other kid's name.  Conor's boat was so fast we flew like 5 feet in the air.  We went for 5 times around the lake."

Lucie:  "I went tubing too.  I went with Brennan.  I'm sharing a towel with Evan.  The tubing was so crazy that the boat made the tube go up and I fell off.  Later we had cookies and cake."

Brennan:  "We are playing golf at Uncle Ray's Dairyland.  We weren't keeping track for who won.  The last hole was the craziest, you had to hit through a loop to get in the hole.  It took some time for Lucie to get it through the loop.  I like having the dirt sundaes, which is smashed oreos, a gummy worm, two candy eyes, and vanilla ice cream."

Lucie:  "I'm at Michigan and we were at Lego Discovery Center.  I'm wearing Mommy's shirt because it super cold inside.  My favorite part was when I got my Lego Dragon, and I liked when it started snowing on us during the movie."

Brennan:  "The first thing we did was a ride where you have to shoot holographic spiders and goblins.  After, you to a room with a display model of Detroit.  And you could use a bunch of buttons to make functions, like the one where you push the button at the baseball stadium and a ball would come out and you would have to hit it.  We also saw a 4D Nexo Knights show - it's like real life right in front of your face.  Mist and wind came out, and soap came flying from a hidden dispenser above us."

This sweater is fuzzy.  Gangi gave it to me.  We were visiting Gangi and Grandpa Marshall for 2 weeks.  Michigan is fun because we pretty much tube every time, and we get to play ball on the grass, and I like catching fireflies.  Also I like swimming at Bridget's house and I love Howie."
